Citibank statement, that was published last month, about new rule regarding the ban of using their credits cards for payments in online hazard, has apparently been placed into effect in the past. Though, due to opinion of unknown operator, the ban that was before was illogical. Citibank start to realize the prohibition in last summer but soon after they inverted and allowed to pay with their cards online again. Stephen Fein, a confidence and knowledgeable specialist in the credit card business says that delay is probably because of the cards ID numbers (BIN).
These numbers identify the cards issue bank and what kind of cards it is – Platinum or Gold. Mr. Fein informed that not every BIN was integrated at the same time. He explained it that accidentally a part of portfolios wasn’t blocked.
Different online gaming site told that didn’t experience any changes related to Citibank’s new ban strategy on Internet hazards transactions.
The operator of online gaming were asked about the amount of clients that use a credit card for payment, and he makes it clear that there are vary from many different gaming sites and that those online gaming businesses are trying to find an another ways of payment methods, turning away from credits cards.
