When computers came into popular usage, they set a new kind of advantage for all kinds of card players. Statisticians soon calculated an online casino blackjack strategy that eliminates most of the house advantage. Other online casino blackjack players have run millions of blackjack hands through a number of computer programs in order to develop a winning strategy.
One easy online casino blackjack strategy, which is basic to the game itself, is knowing when to double down or split your hand. The basic rules for online casino blackjack states that a player should double down on a 9, if the dealer shows a 6 or less; always double down on 10 when the dealer shows 9 or less; and always double down on 11, except when the dealer shows an Ace.
When deciding whether to split your hand in online casino blackjack, the rule is fairly basic. Always split Aces and 8’s, and never split a 10 and a face card, or 5’s. Players should also split 3’s and 2’s whenever the dealer shows a 4, 5, 6, or 7.
Remember in both online casino blackjack and live casino blackjack the dealer must always stand on 17 or higher, and can not double down or split- knowing this can help increase your odds of winning.
When the online casino blackjack dealer, usually a computer program with a random number generator, has a face up card showing either a 3, 4, 5 or 6, then the computerized dealer has more than a 35% chance of busting. If you, the player, have a total of 13-16 you should stand. When the dealer has a face up card of 7, 8, 9, 10 or an Ace, the probability that the dealer’s face down card is a 10, this means that the dealer will beat you, and so you should take another card.
These basic strategies will help out immensely when playing online casino blackjack. Once you have mastered these basics, be sure to check out card counting and other more intense online casino blackjack strategies.
